PVR Cinemas is India’s first & largest multiplex chain with cinemas spread across the country. The brand is now creating a line of enhanced cinema experience projects with the six screens multiplex housing last rows of recliner seats for the discerning customer. In the neighbourhood dotted with tv personalities the project appoints a new cinema in the existing mall block. The design brief is pointing to create a glamorous "wow" factor through the entire experience.

The arrival was designed as a strong signature at the entrance with dark stone clad walls detailed with waterfall edges. The challenge was to create an architecture that gives a strong visual identity to the cinema entrances in the low ceiling space. The design makes dramatic the spaces with a strip inlay pattern flowing & evolving in materials & forms. A unique concept of Celebrity Lounge is designed to create a stage for premiere events inviting into its fold the entire movie & television community. The lounge flooring & ceiling are both a bowl of converging ellipses that appear beautifully suspended in animation.
